Simple question... Has the rating level been changed on Blitz?

Somehow I have dropped from 1950>1750 on Blitz.

Been pretty tired and playing badly, but even with that, it seems to me players are playing at a higher level than a few weeks ago.

Simple question, "yes" or "no" answers please (if you know). No jokes or advice needed.

I used to look at the "percentile" and it used to say I was better than 70% of Blitz players when I had the 1900+ rating. Now it is STILL saying I am better than 70% of players even though I am down at 1770. This is what makes me think the ratings might have been altered

As for the question, "why do you care about a rating?" Well I just want to know if my brain has stopped working properly or not, I dont really care about a rating on a website. But dropping 200pts sure isn't good and I want to know why

That's how you end up talking to yourself.

Simple answer: No
The thing that has changed is that now there are much more players at Lichess with initial/low rating and many players retiring/leaving Lichess. This process goes on and on, so technically your performance isn't stable. It's only because of stats. Actually your rating has definitely gone down.
You need improvement in chess. Have enough breaks and don't exhaust yourself by playing many games and don't play games at a stretch. And follow all normal things to improve play.
