Should a board size editor be added for variants?

So, what do you think about it, like 9x9,7x7,

1 = its fine without board size editing
2 = 9x9 & 7x7 should be added and just that
3 = more board size options for variants like 12x12 or 5x5?

How are you going to play in a 7x7 or 9x9 board? It might destroy the balance in the game.

Grand chess would be fun! (10x10 board) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_chess

But I don't understand your variants. How are the pieces arranged?

I am curious what a 7x7 would look like. What piece gets deleted, giving the players one of?
And 9x9. What gets added?

On a 9x9 (or 7x7) board, is the dark-squared bishop better than the light-squared?

it might be unbalanced, but just remove or add a rook in 7x7 or 9x9

i think of removing the queenside rook in 7x7, and adding one in 9x9
