setting chronos clock for increments

I have an old chronos clock, apparently made before anyone thought of increments. I have tried to find instructions on how to set it for increments. No luck. None of the youtubes or sites are worth a flip. They talk about chronos GX, or XL, and the explanations just do not apply to my clock. I can set it for anything else, multiple time controls, move counting, delay, and so on, but NOT so that it adds increments. If anyone knows how, please let me know. Please DO NOT tell me to buy a more modern version, nor to check some web site. They are worthless.

I also have a very old Chronos, purchased in 1998. My understanding is that it does not have a setting for increment. That is one reason I don’t use it very much. I have a newer touch-sensitive Chronos that I use for tournament play.

I believe the mode with increment is called "Adagio Mode" (AD-1 for 1 control, AD-2 for 2, etc.). Hopefully your clock has it.

Not the slightest hint anywhere of a model number. It has a serial number : 03037-28183. The instruction book is copy-righted 1995. I think I purchased it in 2002. It is the longer one (about eight inches) with the plungers, not the shorter (6 inch) nor the touch type. People have told me that it can be set for increment, but that could be false information. Some little slip of paper came with the instruction book, listing a few more features that had been added, but that slip is long gone.
