Hi!
I was wondering if it was at all possible to search your own games from a set position or specific opening? I'm trying to look for recurring mistakes I make in various openings. I tried with both the advanced search on user page and opening explorer in analysis board and coudn't manage it.
Thanks again for providing the world of chess with this amazing website!

Not possible. Should be possible : -(

Not possible on this web site.
An option is to download all your games and search for these positions using a database program (SCID is free and my choice).

Yes you can do this if you download your games and upload the complete pgn file to SCID. This must be easy to do as even I've just managed it. However, how do differentiate your moves from that of your opponents as the book just registers all moves the same?

I separate the pgn file into my white games and my black games (actually three black for e4, d4, and misc). This method allows for me to tell the player by color. This also helps for building and reviewing an opening repertoire.
Another suggestion is to filter based on time format. Some may want to learn the opening by rote and want to see the straying in a faster time control, while other may want to understand why they can't recall during a longer time control.

@jonesmh I've been using chessX for that purpose but wondered if this feature was available on lichess. It would make a great addition to the site if developers implemented it ;)

Thanks Jones. I think this could be a very useful tool. I assume you can filter by colour before you export the pgn file then.

According to https://lichess.org/api#operation/apiGamesUser, you can download game using a color filter, but I'm find this method too complicated. I just download the complete pgn file, then use SCID (or another database program) to separate this file into the pgn files I use.
Warning: Many database programs don't support variants. SCID throws an error then continues to the next valid game. I use a text editor and manually remove these games. I remember a pgn parser which would automate this task, but I can't find it anymore.

Ok, the thing I want is an opening explorer containing my own games, like this one:
https://www.365chess.com/u/kingdave/opening/opening.php?m=1&n=1&ms=&ns=
Is that what people are talking about? I installed SCID, but don't see that it supports this. I don't see any indication of this function in the chessX documentation either. On 365chess you can do this, but you have to be supporter to upload new games. The interface isn't great, and it isn't showing an engine eval, so I'm hoping to find something better.

Since we're talking about searching our own games, I've asked before and I'll use this occasion to ask again for the ability to search our games based on average centipawn loss. I want to find all my "perfect" games.
