Scotch or scotch gambit

@SteelTemple said in #30:

Feel free to try out the Scotch but if you want to try something more daring while staying within the Italian Game family you also really ought to try out the Evans Gambit and c3, d4 Italian (instead of c3, d3). Both are very aggressive and tactical variations that start fighting for the center and threatening kingside attacks immediately.
Yes, I’m playing the e5 advance after the move d4 for now.

Yes, I somewhat think that many people don’t know about the ng5 line CONTINUATION!?

About 2 years ago, in the space of a few weeks, I noticed a number of games that arrived at the 5 Ng5 position. It made me suspect that someone had done a video about it. Do you like the idea of playing the httpscolon//lichess.org/GOyLrcxW position? Have you thought about what you would specifically want to play after 11...Re8 ? Perhaps, some opponents will play 9...d5 instead of 9...d6. Others will choose 4...Nf6 or 4...Bb4+. Among over-2000 players, I would guess that at least some of them would have seen Réti's famous book with the discussion of the Morphy game near the beginning. Others would perhaps simply be able to work out what to do over the board.
