SCID Chess Software Usage

Any suggestion on how to use SCID chess software on Mac OS to build opening files and personal repertoire? Any tutorials or videos or documentations suggested?

Do you want to ask about scid vs pc in general or specifically for its usage on Mac OS (like compiling etc.)? I can't help with Mac OS, but I have compiled it on linux, and although I am not an expert on its usage, I can do a bunch of things with it. For example, installing a database, creating databases from game collections in pgn format, installing engines, browsing opening books, viewing the tree of a given database, puzzle training, playing games against an engine of your choice, playing games with an engine forcing the engine to play a particular opening, analysing games or positions in epd format - I don't do all this often, but I have kind of figured out how to do these things.

For building opening books - I have been experimenting and learning the dark art, so to speak, using two programs - pgn-extract (amazing program, I can't praise it enough) and polyglot (for building books from pgn collections).

Feel free to message me and I can share specifics.
