How much is my puzzles ranking "worth" - how high should a 2000 puzzle rated player be in rapid for example?

A 2000 puzzle rating directly translates to a 2600 rapid rating.

Puzzles are pure tactics so it is impossible to judge how well one would do in a game based solely off of this. For example you can be tactically inept and still win just because you got to an end game where your minor piece is much more valuable than your opponent's, aka a strategic win.

I think you are only as strong as your greatest weakness, though, so while tactics are important they aren't 99% of the game like some people believe!

@zenchess42 I'm an 1800-ish rapid player and I currently have a 2050 puzzle rating. I think the average is around 200-300 points higher (from my personal experience). Will need some data to back this up though.

@HankTortolio Is 2000 enough to at least think of myself as "tactically inept"? :)
Since there is no leaderboard and no distribution, I find it hard to judge my skills in this domain.

@Repiked This would be great. I think my self-esteem in chess is low, because I almost only played Blitz on chess.com in the past (aside from puzzles). The rating there was about 420 :D:D.
Maybe its not the right game mode for a beginner.
