Questionable Time Clock Behavior

I am so frustrated by watching my opponent's time clock click down to zero, and then suddenly, they move and seem to be awarded extra time. This happens over and over again. Frequently, this BS is accompanied by my time simultaneously and mysteriously disappearing. The game I just finished playing, my opponent's clock hit Zero 3X during the endgame. This has caused me to lose so many fuckingames, that I'm starting to wonder if some players have developed a system to cheat with the clock. Anybody else seeing this shit? If I didn't love the game too much, I'd quit playing on this site.

I agree it is frustrating, and its not going away. Fortunately in my case its a very small portion of my total games where it occurs. In the worst examples, at the endgame I can count one Mississippi, two Mississippi, while my opponent plays their move with 0.00 showing on their clock. Its called lag, someone more technical than myself can explain. Pre-moving is also allowed on lichess, while your time is running, your opponent is allowed to pre-move without loss of time.

YACP!

Maybe you should play without increment? :D

When it happens "so many times", the problem may be found on your side of the show, btw...
