Question: How to use 3rd party engine to modify repertoire

@ColossusChess

Thank you for the idea. I will definitely download and look into these GUI’s, especially lucas due to the pre-install. To find SCID, I literally just asked chatGPT for a free GUI and this was one of the ones it gave me.

@gpa150chess

Thank you for the PGN idea. As I learn to operate SCID and other GUI’s to make multiple lines in files in the right orders etc. I’ll definitely try to do the multiple PGN import into studies.

@rajma420 Another possibility is to download games from CCRL or CETG played by Patricia, and look at what variations it plays in the openings of your interest. CCRL has the advantage that you can download the version with evaluations. I don't know if CETG games are available with evals. Or you create opening books to depth 8 or 10 plies in openings of your interest, and run test games between Patricia and other engines in these variations, and maybe even truncate the games at 20 moves so that you can generate many games fast, and see what variations Patricia plays in the 5-20 move (10-40 ply) window. It is easy to run engine matches in Cutechess (GUI or CLI) or fastchess.
