Puzzle dashboard

Fist off puzzle dashboard is amazing, I love it.

When I open it up, it shows 9 themes and how I rate on each of those 9 and I can tell at a glace what themes need work.

My question is: how are those 9 selected? Are they the same for everybody? I noticed that with only 9 available, there are many themes that don't appear there.

#1 The dashboard display depends on what "themes" you picked, or what you got if "healthy mix", and the time period you choose to display. It also depends on themes contained in the puzzles regardless of what "themes" you chose.

For example, I haven't done any puzzle for a few days. I just picked the opening theme and solved a few puzzles. Then in the dashboard I set the time to 1 day. I got 4 "themes"; even though the puzzles were all from the opening "theme". Those were Discovered attack, Pin, Opening, and Intermezzo.

You only got 4 themes? I always get 9 themes, regardless of time frame.

If I set the time to 1 day, I still get 9 themes, even if I haven't done any puzzles in the last day. That's why the puzzle dashboard confuses me.

I think ButterflyofDeath is talking about the spiderweb chart on https://lichess.org/training/dashboard/30/dashboard

while jomega is talking about either the strengths or the improvement areas.

I've wondered about the spiderweb chart too.

Wikipedia tells me these charts are used to compare things like basketball players by showing a selection of strengths and weaknesses. It looks like they stick to the same selection for each basketball player though, while our chart changes variables according to some pattern I haven't seen yet

Yes! You are correct bluemeeper. I am talking about the spiderweb chart.

I have noticed that it only displays 9 themes. However, there are 50 total themes!

I can see that the 9 spiderweb themes change as I change the amount of days that I look back in time changes.

But If I compare the spiderweb chart to my 3 improvement areas (endgame, pawn endgame, promotion), I find that endgame and pawn endgame are there on the spiderweb, but not promotion. But also one of my strengths is checkmate themed puzzles, and that's on the spiderweb too!

That's why my question is what determines what goes on the spiderweb. I can't figure it out.
