Hey guys,
I want to practice new openings against the computer. As such, the games will be unrated (and from position) but I want do use my notes / opening books/videos. I know this is only allowed against the computer but can I also use a bot instead of Stockfish? The problem I have with Stockfish is that its moves not human so these games are absolutely useless. The bots are very human and would be a perfect "partner" to practice.
just practice them in unrated games (or rated even) and then look back at your notes to see where you went wrong and then improve each time. it makes it much easier and this way you also know what the people your level play @Cranberrydrink
Thanks for the fast response. However, the issue with this approach is that it is very unlikely to get one specific opening in a game. For example if I want to practise one line against the Frensh I need to play around 20 games to get it once. This is not very practical if I want to focus on one opening.
Opening book is allowed in correspondence. Kinda funny and topical that I got a fools mate captcha.
