I am practicing with computer in my studies but I observed that the computer is not playing the best moves. How can we make the computer play the best moves when practising?

@jhunie9 Try playing against bots like @lc0test

@usingimbalances when you are in a Study and is in "practice with computer" mode I don't think you can pick bots. I am not playing bots.

@jhunie9 Set up the position you want and challenge the bot to a game.

@kaissa44 that is possible but that is not the same as using a study. In a Study you already have a list of custom positions and then you just make a move and the computer plays you if you are in "practice with computer" mode. Unfortunately the computer that is playing you in this way is not that strong. Some obvious moves they miss.
If I setup the position manually and then challenge the bot to a game it is not the same thing.

@jhunie9 How is it not the same though? You wanted a stronger computer (even though Stockfish 13 is one of the strongest engines in the world) so just set up the position with the Board Editor (you can change any settings you want) and play it out with Stockfish 13 or the desired bot, and make those moves in a seperate chapter which doesn't have Computer Practice mode enabled.

@kaissa44 the experience is different. I want the "Practice with Computer" in the study to be as strong. You have to click "Continue from here" and then click "Play with the Computer" I guess these are the tradeoffs if you want stronger computer.
Again it is different from just playing the position from the study with Analysis mode is set to "Practice with Computer". In the Study you just play. You don't need to setup a position every time.
If you are teaching students you want there experience to be as seamless as possible.

@kaissa44 also if you use Practice with computer in the study you don't want the computer to just play random moves. Especially if the move is very obvious like capturing a pawn that is free against just moving the bishop in a random place without any purpose.
