The Lichess app on your phone lets you play stockfish at any level in any variant without internet.
There's also Droidfish.
You can customize the ELO of stockfish and play your won custom levels (or use a different, worse engine as well witb customizable ELO) on the droidfish app. It's really cool. You can even make the computer play against itself. You can disable or enable computer thinking and switch on/off book hints as well.

Well, there's Lichess app which you can install.
From my personal experience, AI Factory Game's Chess app is very good.
If you want to play with the stockfish offline then you need to download lichess app
