Normalize offering takebacks for obvious misclicks?

As someone who plays on mobile and on a touch screen chromebook, I misclick more than the usual player. Misclicking isn’t uncommon in blitz, but thankfully there’s a takeback button... which almost never helps because the misclick of the opponent is almost always to their advantage. I personally am always ready to accept a takeback for a move if it looks like a misclick to me, and I even offer takebacks to my opponents sometimes if I see they misclicked so that they can fix their mistake. Losing a game to a misclick sucks, and I find that it gives the winner less satisfaction and hurts the loser more. Takebacks are there for a reason.

takebacks are there for no reason. Not all sites even offer them. Easy solution is that do not play with device that produces lots of misclicks. Given your strength telling what is obvious misclick is mostly possible but for better part lichess players telling misclicks from blunders is pretty hard. And at the end of the day using touch screen, mouse, touchpad ... correctly is part of your online chess skill anyway.

I think takeback should be limitted to non rated games and at minimun tournament games should be without it

Grant yourself infinite takebacks by enabling move confirmation instead of begging for takebacks.

Here are some 'misclicks'
Hitting the bunker in golf
Double faulting in tennis
An own goal in soccer

Get the picture? They're all due to your own lack of competence. Play a longer time control and add move confirmation if it bothers you rather than beg your opponent to correct your mistakes.

You can input moves via notation if you'd like. Might make it easier to specify the right squares.

I don't think it's cool to ask for even one takeback a game, yet I've had people ask me for 2-3 takebacks in a game. Move carefully and if you misclick then you misclick. The ask for a takeback option should be removed from this site in my opinion.

You can disable takeback for your games. That's what I do.

I try to be a good sport, but what if I can't tell whether it was a misclick? I occasionally place a rook on a square which is targeted by my opponent's bishop. It sucks, but it is my fault. If I accidentally let go of the mouse button too soon, how will my opponent know? I agree with people who say that takebacks should not be a part of chess.
