New interface is lagging?

yes even i am facing this issue . I played my move , opponent's clock keeps ticking . I thought opponent is taking too much time . Then in the end when his time got over it was actually me who lost because of timeout . Pathetic . I lost 2 winning games because of this .

Chrome works better but the problem doesn't seem fully fixed

cant i meant. surely this will prove to be the problem with providing a free service - who pays for the expansion of hardware redundancy?

I have this problem too. FireFox 66.05 on Ubuntu 19.04. Even premoves timout losing up to 30 seconds each move. Is this some kind of DoS by some users? I am suggesting this because it happens in some games only and then the next game may be OK. Also most games when this happened it was a weaker opponent in a lost position. Lag started after the position became lost for the opponent. It looks too convenient. But it could just be paranoia.
ping times are usually 150ms and server 20 ms.

What happened yesterday? Now i am using Chrome because this is only browser that does not lag. But yesterday it started lagging too, although not as much as other browsers, Pieces definitely became slower again.
