easy to find out. just track down the people behind all the closed accounts. You'll probably need to tap into government spy agencies around the world to steal their data, as lichess accounts can be and usually are anonymous. After you have a list of all the people who closed their accounts, contact each one and ask them why they closed it. Many might not respond and some might find it creepy you tracked them down, so you'll have to be persistent and maybe even visit in person to persuade them to talk. Put the data you collect in some sort of database and query it to find out what the most common reason is. easy.
When they cheat and their account gets marked and then they don't want people to know or something.

Not sure if I suffer from brain damage or if there just isn't a way to reply to a specific response, regardless in response to #5 (and sort of #2) are there really that many people cheating? I just go through old people I've played (lowest rated losses etc,) and so many of them are marked for cheating.
Also #4 thanks for the advice. Working on that right now.
