Hi,
I have finished all the endgame practice exercises on Lichess and need to take my endgame knowledge further. What are some good resources (preferably free) where I can learn some endgame theory and practice? I tried some endgame courses on chessable, but I don't really like the UI so would prefer some other website.

For theoretical endgames:
blitztactics.com/positions
simplifychess.com/chess/endgame-problems.html
www.simplifychess.com/chess/complete-endgame-guide.html
www.simplifychess.com/chess/test-your-endgame-knowledge.html (12 random exercises)
chess-endgame-trainer.web.app/home
Endgame strategy:
If you want a lot of exercises on advanced endgame topics then I can recommend "Mastering Endgame Strategy" by Johan Hellsten. Like his 2 previous books (Mastering Opening Strategy, Mastering Chess Strategy) this books contains a lot of examples and exercises that will keep you busy for a while.

Kasparov recommends "Dvoretzky's Endgame Manual" for professionals and amateurs alike.
You can go a long way with just the 7 men table bases on this site.
Set up an interesting position with 7 men or less, e.g. KRPP vs. KRP. Do you think it is a win or a draw? What would you play? Now look at the table base. Repeat.

The 7 men table base is available in the analysis board. You have to enable it with the book icon bottom left.

I can recommend Capaböanca's best chess endings by Chernev.

The account of the thread starter @winawernut is closed, but maybe this topic is interesting for others as well. Personally I warmly recommend the endgame training on Chesstempo. You get mostly endgames with five pieces, but occasionally also positions with six or seven pieces.
For instance I would not have exercised KQ vs KR systematically, which was beneficial for me way beyond the concrete endgame.

Useful thread. And I'm commenting as it helps to easily access it from my forum tab when I need it in the future.
