Memory Palace in Chess

I've used this technique before to perform feats such as solving multiple Rubik's cubes blindfolded. Doesn't seem to be particularly useful for chess—memorizing openings or doing blindfolded simuls using memory palaces, as suggested above, simply isn't practical

@pd159 30 moves of opening theory in postal notation is a 240 digit number

8 digits, 2 OA pairs are coded to each loci and each variation is a separate person travelling through an up to 30 station memory palace.

I am encouraged by this poster who claimed to memorize his entire opening repertoire using this system.

Another nice thing with the chess numbers is they have huge segments of identical order which can be chunked as related people.
