Making the transition from 1600 to 2000 rating

Hi,
I am a relatively weak player (currently my ratings on here are around 1600), but I am desperate to improve and reach the 2000 mark within a years time.

Is there anything I should do to ensure that I do reach that rating (besides analysing games)?

today for a first time i reached 1900 rating. Two years ago I was 1300 rated. All i did is playing chess here. No reading, no youtube videos, no chess studying - just playing chess and learning from mistakes. Just play and enjoy it and you will start to become stronger as you will remember certain patterns.

First of all use all the time allowed by the time control. Slow down. Take time to think. Look at the next example. It is a 10+0 time control rapid game, but you play as if it were 5+0 blitz.
Play your knights out before your bishops.
Do not trade bishops for knights unless for a good reason.

"Do not trade bishops for knights unless for a good reason."
This one is important and it helps a lot.
@tpr would you like to take a look at my classic games and give me some thoughts on my chess? I would appreciate it , as it is clear that you understand the game like a pro.

I am just an amateur, not even titled...
Here is a classical game of yours.
You played too fast.
You traded BxN without good reason.
I recommend to switch on move confirmation in your profile. Think about your move, play it, check it is no blunder, confirm.

I think you pasted the wrong link as this is not one of my games :D But still, thanks for the tip

My bad, I mistakenly assumed this came from the original poster...
Here is a game of yours.
The remarks are the same: playing too fast, blunders.
The pointers are the same: slow down, take time to think, activate move confirmation in your profile.

I want to put my rating to 2000 in correspondence and perhaps in blitz, but it is difficult. Any help?
