VERY long game! https://lichess.org/nQwJWi7MyOQI

I am not aware of the criteria Lichess uses to choose the best games, I have looked through the games suggested on the forum, the winning games of other months. I've found that often the component of such games is some kind of sacrifice that leads to victory (not necessarily immediate mate). The game I've decided to share has nothing of the sort. It is an example of White's positional game based on ideas. Black tried to play the Scheveningen variation, but the latter turned out to be passive. I blocked the queenside, and the center, as well as the space on the kingside, belonged to White. Unable to cope with the pressure Black decided to break through, creating a gap in his defense, which I immediately took advantage of. This game will be interesting to those who have long been looking for a simple variant against the Sicilian defense. At the same time it proves that understanding ideas is more important than theory.
