Lichess database in Chessbase

I've just read that Chessbase 18 offers an access to 6 billion Lichess games and a player preparation by matching Lichess games.
In another part of the local forum I saw some comments concerning the bugs of CB18, but to me it looks a bit unpleasant for another reason, because I don't want everybody to see the connection between my name and games played from alternate accs. Sadly, cheaters need not worry about it too much, whereas players who play on their own might be unpleasantly surprised when their opponents get access to their games during their preparation. (Idk how powerful this tool is.)
The good thing is that we know that the opponents could possibly get to our secret online games. Not knowing that would be much worse.

not sure if you read this, but not only are there bugs, but the way it is supposed to work (but does not actually work), is by specifying a team first. it doesn't just go through all possible accounts on lichess.

in practice even if the feature worked as intended it sounds basically useless to me.

edit: unless you are playing very rare openings and stick to them consistently, i doubt there will ever be a way to connect your accounts between millions of users based on openings only.

I have the latest update to Chessbase 18 (so maybe it didn't work previously. It is on its 3rd patch and I haven't experienced any bugs yet). There are two different areas where the Lichess accounts can be accessed from within Chessbase 18.

If you click on the home tab, then on the tab called "Load Online Player" you only have to enter the users name, set a date range, select Lichess.org and click ok. It works perfectly.

The second method to access Lichess is if you have a database open already, then go to the players tab, and click on "Find Lichess Account." This brings up a box for entering a team. The first way though will download all their games within the time frame specified to Chessbase. From there it is easy to create (for example) an opening book of their games.

I have no intention (as a beginner) of looking at others games. I just think it will be a quick way to download and bring into Chessbase my games very quickly.
