Keyboard Users

I'm seeing some keyboard users on this site. I thought this was prohibited, some top rated bullet players are using the extension and nothing is being done about it. Is it not allowed?

I think it's legal to play chess with a keyboard. It's possible without hacking. And i think with a mouse you're faster, so where is the problem?

The old plugin is detected automatically. I guess it is possible to write one that goes unnoticed. But also quite possible your suspicion wrong and your opponents are just fast.

It's not my opponents. I was observing the players live, and I'm 100% sure that both were using keyboard, I know fastest players in the world play like and these guys were just shuffling the same piece x5 faster than the fastest players in the world can. I reported, but we'll see what happens.

I think they should officially add keyboard controls.

You can enter your moves via keyboard, it can be enabled in the settings. (I'm using it when I have to play on a laptop without e-board as it seems more reliable than the touchpad.) But blitz/bullet folk apparently mean something completely different, some banned extension that could be used to enter long series of half random moves at incredible speed. I saw some video with demonstration on youtube, it made even less sense than bullet itself.

@LeChuchel With the keyboard extension you just point your cursor at a square and press a key. You don't input the full move, as in the "keyboard settings".
