Just Another Rant

This time it is about match pairings.

I am sick and tired of being matched with players above my rating, or even equal to my rating. I get online to play chess I just want to win a few easy games - could care less about rating.

If I could I would play 700's all day, every day. I don't play chess because I want a challenge, or because I want to out think or out play anyone - I just play cuz it is a neat game that is easy to win at if your opponent screws up.

There needs to be a method where someone line me can just play 1000's all day without having to delete accounts and smurf. Not like I am a great player, never gonna play in any tournaments, never gonna study, I just to relax and play some very easy games.

you can do a challenge seek and there you can also enter the rating range. However, you have to allow at least equal rating.
So for example: you can put the range between 1003 and 1503 (where 1503 is your current rating in Blitz).

Yeah. I just hate the fact that chess just gets harder the more you play.

I remember the good old days when you first create your account as a n00b and the game is fun, don't need any theory, every has a laugh when you get caught in an opening trap, and literally anything goes.

Now the games are becoming so involved and deep its almost like I have to start studying or something.

I honestly don't think I studied a single day in my life, and I am 45.

only play blitz or bullet no increment, play fast think on your opponents time, most players will slow down in complicated positions make sure you stay ahead on clock, chess is boring and playing with dirty tricks is the way to go

Play anonymously, but be prepared for lots of people who will abandon the game if it ain't going their way, or abort if they get the black pieces.

Im sick of being matched with players who have similar rating but have played 20+ k games, like cant the algorithm be set so that these high count players get mathed with each other ? cause I've no idea how these 20k+ games played dudes are so low level, but playing these dudes is like playing robots, they always absolutely play some meme opening yet absolutely crush you in mid game and endgame, super fast super accurate just from the sheer number of games played

even at 1700 games are very goofy

I love OP's honesty. I only want very easy opponents so I can feel good about winning, somehow.

Lichess actually have your back by not banning cheaters, fire up the engine and whoop us mere mortals just trying to improve our chess.

I also enjoyed the OP's honesty. "I just want to p0wn the n00bz." A lot of us enjoy easy wins, but it's empty calories. Chess can be so much more nourishing if you eat your veggies.
