Possible, but in this case, you need to memorize your practice and to learn from your own experience, since a Book is like a point of view of the High level, and it can help you to understand why they're playing so good
I’ve never read a book or even studied at all for that matter. I still feel I can improve a lot more without needing to do so. That being said studying probably wouldn’t hurt
Almost certainly, it is possible to improve without reading books, but, for many, it seems like a good guess that book-reading would make it easier to improve.
The objective of reading books about chess isn't merely to read books; it's to improve your skills. I know numerous players who, despite years of playing and reading books, remain below 1800 rating points. Of course, I've also read several interviews with Grandmasters who attribute much of their improvement to extensive reading
Capablanca claimed not to have read a single chess book. If we assume he did not lie then definitely possible. I think his claim was more marketing than actual truth but cannot know for sure

I am surprised that your threat is still active after almost 12 hours. Yesterday I posted a very similar one with a link to my new blogarticle https://lichess.org/@/mvhk/blog/how-to-reveal-the-identity-of-an-anonymous-master/qmlv7nEs and within 10 minutes I got a message from a lichess-moderator that this is considered spam. It is hard to say what exactly is the reason for this discrepancy so I asked for feedback from lichess.
Reading chess books is not the same as STUDYING chess books .IF you can stick the information of a book to your brain , it will certainly improve your skills . But no matter what , playing and analysing your own games is always the best way to improve .
So it is certainly possible to improve without chess books . But i wouldn ́t recommend it .
I enjoyed a thorough and healthy education. Not reading books is not something I would be be very proud of.

I love to read normal books, I am talking about of chess books full of analysis.
It is not for everybody, some guys like me who suffer of ADHD are not capable of concentrate in this kind of content, by the other hand, I am capable of make active analysis and produce my own content about chess based on my own games or games of others.
I will show th another post what kind of chess ideas you have to acquire to improve your chess skill, in my opinion.
btw, I think the big error smart guys like you sometimes commit it is treat chess like an academic thing, it does not look like that your case, because you are pretty strong and probably read the chess books actively.
