Someone wrote a Chrome extension for the other popular chess website that gives you additional warnings about time throughout the game. For example, you can configure it to give an audio warning if it is your turn and you haven't moved within 20 seconds.
Is this cheating? It seems like a pretty clear "yes" to me. It is using external assistance to remind you to do something. Time management is something players need to be aware of, not something that a tool should remind them about. Yes, there is a "low time" warning on Lichess, but both players have equal access to that feature.

You shouldn't use it. Most chrome extensions for Lichess are considered cheating.
I have no intention whatsoever of using it. I got into an argument with some other people about whether it was cheating, and they seemed to think it was innocent enough. To me, it clearly seems like cheating.
Yes. This looks like it is cheating but I can see why some would say otherwise.

@TBest That really surprises me. But I guess Lichess can decide what they want to be cheating.
