The" Brilliant Moves" In Moves 24

A "brilliant" move is a very subjective thing. While the move was fancy and great job for finding that tactic, I don't know about its brilliancy.

I would say no. A "brilliant" move is general one that is either profound/deep (which this is not) or stunning and unexpected (which I guess this might be, but I'm no master and I saw it quickly), or both... to say the least!

It's just a Discovered attack so i think it doesn't count as brilliant move
the true definition of brilliant is long lines and not only sacrifices but unexpected moves I think

So Sacrifices are not the only moves that count as brilliant moves

Short answer? No.
Good moves, fine. Brilliant? Look up some brilliancy prize moves or double exclam (!!) moves in tourneys. They demonstrate deep planning or insight; and are shocking in their decisiveness. Brilliancies are rarer than people think, in my opinion.

I think it is a matter of rating, for a 1500 rapid player this is a very good find, and may be considered as "brilliant" but for a master this would only be a simple tactic that the opponent missed.

I think that "brilliant" move didn't make a big difference. White was up a piece anyways so should win. And that combination won a queen for the price of bishop and rook - makes the conversion a little bit easier, but not very much.
