Are you sure? It shouldn’t be possible as Lichess doesn’t allow players to start a new real time game if they already have one in progress.

There is a different in approach between rated games and casual games.

Imagine your opponent playing a rated OTB game with you and never sitting down. I would find that behavior insulting.
This behavior does the same effect on me with the green dot beside the user name. Seeing a green icon turning off on every move, really turns me off. If I played a casual game (unrated) then I can accept seeing the green light turning on and off.

I prefer playing rated games and one person at a time.
During rated games, I don't go back and forth putting opponent on hold.

If you want to play rated with more than one person at a time then do a simultaneous exhibition.
