Is logical chess: move by move a good book?

The book is authored by Iring Chernev.

yes. it's so good many have copied its idea and format.

Chernev can have a tendency to be a little pat though.

As far as I remember, I have never seen Doraemon playing chess!

They play shogi, rather than chess, in japan so..

It’s a great book. I read it recently and really enjoyed it. I learned quite a lot from it.

Actually I have to say that I enjoyed the book so much that I’d love if anyone has recommendations on other books that were as informative. What should I read next?

I have a number of studies with the games from various books. They are stripped of all annotations.
"Logical Chess Move by Move" by Chernev is one of these.

The most important books on your and my skill level are tactic books. Knowing details in openings like King Side Attack isn't the key to improve fast. Nevertheless it is a good book on the side.
