I went to a physical therapist some years ago, for a problem with my shoulder. One day I showed him an unusual arm movement that caused pain in my shoulder...you know, "when I do this it hurts" type of thing.
I remember his response and think it applies here:
"Well, don't do that!"

Having done so, I now have a problem myself.....
