I look at both. I couldn't figure out how to search in ChessX with more parameters, so I am looking at Scid now. The search is very counter-intuitive I must say, I am trying to find games from one player (Kamsky, Gata) with specific ECO codes (D02, A46, A48) and I still didn't figure out how to do it. And I am software developer by profession :)

I also use ChessX as a Mac OS user. It has always worked well.
You can load larges database on Chess X by clicking on "help" > "load sample database".

@Solal35 how do you perform searches in ChessX? Like in the example above: from one player (Kamsky, Gata) with specific ECO codes (D02, A46, A48)

@LukaCro Top right corner of the tool bar, icon: a magnifying glass on a paper. Then you can select ECO, name, rating, etc.
