How to prevent a draw by repetition of moves

You usually get it when the opponent ́s Q is free to move about the board, with gaps in your pawn structure. This would be a typical example:

It ́s just a possibility you always have to be aware of, either for yourself as a saving possibility or for your opponent, especially if you have a big advantage and are going for the win.

I think, I can give a rule of thumb:
A perpetual is more likely, if your opponent still has a queen, and your king is open. In this situation, you should try to force a queen trade, if you still have enough material to checkmate without your queen.

I don't quite understand what games are You talk about , if You mean the only draw in your profile, there wasn't a draw, just loss on time, that Resulted as a Draw, because Your opponent had many pieces to mate, but he ran out of time, and it's a draw, due you don't have material to mate Him

By not playing $#!th3@#$ that use that tactic.
Same with players that sacrifice 3 pawns to force a stalemate bc you didn't think to give their king a square bc you didn't think the opponent was going to force stalemate.
Get above 1600. You will see it less. Repetition draws will always happen especially when a player feels their position isn't winnable.

I like the idea for otb tournaments making wins 2pts so draws lose their value. Now 4 draws equal 1 win instead of 2. I think at Super GM level it will create more dynamic tactical games.
And also those "secret premeditated handshake"
draws the Soviets lived off of will have less value.
