How to make a study from Board Editor?

Hello!

I was wondering how to make a study from the board editor. When I try to do it, the board is simply reset, thus erasing the position that I set up. Thanks!

This is link to it. Wonder if the link works

You have to recreate the position from the study page.

You have to recreate the position from the study page.

Thanks. That's too hard. I hope they add it to the lichess programming that you can make a study from board editor. I mean, it says study right on the board editor page, I assumed that meant study the board you just created.

I wouldn't mind, except studying my games also erases content. I mean, suppose I play some alternative moves in my game, you know.... to study it. It has happened so many times where I play a bunch of moves, starting from a real game, and I find something interesting. Then I go to make a study. Well guess what, it erases all the lines I just played there too. It is frustrating.

@antichessbich
You can.
After you play set of moves in analysis board, make sure to put the current position as last position and not initial (which causes to erase moves) and only then click on study option and it's done!

@Akbar2thegreat where can you choose that?
I mean arrow that can make the position a move back/ahead, starting/ending should be set at double right arrow to get to last position which records all moves listed in PGN as one can check.
