How to improve from 800 to 1600

Hello can anybody give me some tips of how to improve my Blitz rating from 800 to 1600
<Comment deleted by user>
800 means you drop pieces a lot. 1st thing is to pay attention that you don't lose pieces just by ignoring that that they are under a threat or move you piece to a square where it can be taken. that will take past 1000 easily. and everything else is moot unless you succeed at least partially on it. and on 1600 people still drop pieces for nothing just not that often
The best thing you can do is tactics training. Solve puzzles as much as you can and you'll improve rapidly.

Most of the games at your level are lost because of blunders. Solving puzzles will help with that, but you should also use something called blunder check. Before every move ask yourself: will my king be safe after the move? will the rest of my pieces be safe? This will reduce the number of blunders you make.

Also, people at your level rarely think about opponent's moves and plans. This is a huge difference between weak and strong players. Before you make your move, you should try to guess why your opponent made a move he made. What is he trying to do? What might be his plans? Maybe he's attacking something, maybe he's trying to checkmate you, maybe he's trying to promote a pawn to a queen or something else. Always pay attention to your opponent's moves before you make your move.

Additionally, in order to improve you have to acquire some knowledge of things like openings, endgames, middlegame strategy etc. You can find many useful videos on these topics for free on YouTube. You don't need to learn much. Just learn some basics of the openings you play (main ideas and first few moves). Learn some basics of strategy in the middlegame. And learn some endgame ideas like activating your king, opposition, rooks behind pawns etc.

Summary:
1.Train tactics a LOT!
2.Blunder check.
3.Pay attention to your opponent's moves.
4.Learn some vital chess principles like controlling the center, developing pieces quickly etc. (link below).

Plus:
5.Learn basics of the opening(s) you play.
6.Learn basic middlegame plans.
7.Learn basic endgame ideas.

How to get past 800 quickly

You can learn openings from channels such as Krishna Prem, thechesswebsite, Gotham Chess and many others.

I also recommend channels like: Chess Vibes, Hanging Pawns, Daniel Naroditsky, Chess Diagnostic, Chess Edge, John Bartholomew. They have great videos/playlists which you can learn chess from. There are many others, these are just examples.

If you do all the things I recommend you'll definitely improve by a lot. You can use the links I provided as a start to learning about chess. They should help you a lot. I'm a good example of that. This is what I've been doing and it allowed me to improve by 1000+ rating points in less than 5 months (from 892 to 1903 rapid). If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.

Good luck!
