How to improve from 1600?

Looking over your last 5 losses, I notice that you basically hung a full piece in each game. So best advice I have is to stop doing that.

I had the same issue and since I have been focusing on not hanging pieces, I have climbed a silly amount since August.

The other thing I noticed is your 60% win rate in classical. I believe you just need to play and keep doing what you are doing outside of working on your blunders to continue to climb. It is a slow process, but as long as you stay above 50% and continue to improve you will continue to climb.

Watch good players commentating and try to absorb the knowledge. In some ways way better than reading a chess book, because you get the feel of the natural thought process they use to come up with moves. They look at something, jump to something else, then go back to the first variation, it's all very natural and fluid. Like writing a book, you write a sentence, then scratch it, write it again, etc. Whereas a good chess book, it's harder to find imo. Sometimes they come riddled with engine lines. They have the answers, but they don't teach you how to come up with the answers!

So watch these good players on youtube, but you have to pause the video many times, to really understand what they're saying. Even look at it on your own, and if you have some questions, use the engine to help you.

Do puzzles as well.

At a certain point, you have to learn how to teach yourself. Bobby fischer was a master in this.

Now, a week later, I'm more or less 1700 in Blitz, Rapid & Classic just by playing more 30+0-games and really taking my time with the moves. And I also train tactics now with the Apps "CT-Art 4.0 (1200-2400 ELO)" and "Chess Tactics Art (1400-1600 ELO)". That's the only things I changed so far and it really seems to help.
