My recommendations: go to lichess studies and enter atomic chess.
you will find the rules and a lot of studies on it. Also there are a number of nice introductions on YT.

The rules are somewhat different and in certain situations you will be very confused if you didn't get those rules clear in your head. For example: you check someone but on the next move they ignore your check and can make a move that's illegal in normal chess because they can blow up your king with it. You can also indirectly pin pieces that guard against collateral damage from destroying your opponents king. I.e. there are many more pins than in standard chess. Also, your king can avoid check as long as it is next to the opponents king. and so on. So learn those rules to avoid frustration!

Also, because of the different rules, you can lose right out of the opening. So learn some of the important opening principles. There are opening books available for atomic chess and studies on it. An example : White plays Nf3 on the 1st move. You must respond to control the knight. It can move to e5 on the 2nd move and attack 2 pawns next to your king. If you cannot capture the knight on this move you have already lost the game since you cannot move both pawns and your king cannot escape either.

This is a great link. I recalled something like that existing but i could not find it on the lichess menus. Is it somewhere obvious or do you have to know the link? A logical place would be under the menu 'learn'. It could be a menu called 'chess rules'. Or something like that.

I went to google and did a search like this "site:lichess.org atomic" and that link was first.

I find this technique the fastest way to search sites.

The hard way to find something is searching around for it. Eventually you find...

Lichess -> FAQ -> Gameplay (open it) -> 8 chess variants (link) -> click Atomic on the left.

Atomic also improves our game. It helps how to bring pieces out quickly!
