How to blunder less in chess?

@Timegod : actually, my blitz rating has gone up 100 points since I started reading the forums

But honestly, I think the best way to avoid blunders is to think about each position as a new situation, rather than as a series of moves. This lets you avoid annoying zwischenzugs and keeps you focused.

@clousems not fully correct. You should conduct a game plan after the opening and stick with. However there are some exceptions , pawn captures change positions and at this point you should make corrections to your plan .
