so is there a number of games to play before the rating becomes stable or do i just play and wait?

Just play. Waiting makes your RD go up, which is why you're provisional even though you've played 68 games in total.

The rating deviation is a measure how realiable your rating is (the lower RD, the more reliable). It reflects not only how many games you played but also how reliable your opponents' ratings were (the more reliable/stable, the more relevant to calculate yours) and how stable or consistent your results were.
