-~--~-- 2021 --~--~-
- I have gained ~ 300/ 400 imaginary lichess rating points
- I have read "My System" by Nimzowitsch
- I have read "my 60 memorable games" by Fischer and tried to memorize every game (but failed)
- I have read "100 Endgames you must know" by de la Villa
- I have read "The life and games of Mikhail Tal" by Tal
- I have read some other (chess-) books too
- I have played Chess960
- I have learned an effective K, B and N checkmate (but have forgotten it since)
- I have analyzed some master games (including the Opera Game, the Immortal Game, the Game of the Century, etc.)
- I have learned a little about everything (Opening, Middle-Game, Endgame) and improved a little
- I have published blogs and followed the World Chess Championship, I also became a Patron and I started posting in forums, to add to this I created some studies (the studies from 2020 were almost all updated)
~-- In the future (or 2022) --~
- I want to improve even more
- Thus, I have to read those books again and read a whole lot more
- Additionally, I want to take a break from chess (although I know, this most likely will not happen)
- I have to play a lot more slow games to improve calculation
- I have to create a "real reportoire"
For me, 2021 was a semi-successful year: It was a stressful year, but I improved in chess and broke the "2000 imagianry rating points barrier", that I wanted to break. So, all in all, it was a good year, I guess.
With this said, I hope that you all have a nice day and thanks Lichess.org, for being the free chess server, where people can play and talk chess.

2021
- First full year of taking chess more seriously and starting to develop a decent opening repertoire.
- Bought Bookup and started compiling my moves and using Stockfish to analyze my games.
- Met up with some other adult improvers, which has helped motivate me.
- Bought some Chessable courses and began the process of patching the hundreds of holes in my repertoire.
- Switched to Vienna Gambit as White and over the year had decent results and made good progress.
- Recently started work on a Slav-based repertoire vs non-e4 lines mostly based on Colovic's Chessable course.
- Very recently started learning the Open Sicilian as white.
- Some interspersed work on puzzles, tactics, and endgames.
- Attempting to play different time settings, though I still struggle with blitz and bullet.
2022
- Continue work on the Open Sicilian and Slav repertoire. When both are in decent shape the repertoire as a whole should be acceptable.
- Once step 1 is accomplished I look forward to spending more time revisiting tactics and endgame study.

In 2021(near the end) i finally realised how much chess are important for me. It is not a quality improvement but it is the begginning. From 2022 chess will be my heart and my life. Chess played on my own, with my rules/openings.
That's actually dangerous!

Thank You Lichess is all I can say ! The Features here helped me to improve even as a 55-56 year old NM ... I really enjoy being able to see Learn From Your Mistakes & centipawn loss . It was a great year starting off "undercover" playing casual chess & later playing in many tournaments ... Studying broadcasted games after completion ( So Many) . Even my facebook pages kicked in with so many games available under videos

I can see so many people trying so many varied ways to improve these days is my takeaway from this post from King's Clash ... There are a few chess books I still deem so well & hold in high esteem like Endgame Strategy by Mikhail Sherevesky that I believe would help others reach goals

I have the Shereshevsky book and it is a classic. I like the focus on coming up with a plan.

IN 2021 when when i was covid positive i started playing chess in april smth and studied some of the opening not some "only one - QUEENS GAMBIT" then i started asking for tips on discord from some high rated player a guy who was like 1900 smth helped me a lot he actually gave me so many tips he said:
MOST IMPORTANT POINT "Analyse you games with and without engine" i followed it
2. Do puzzles " i have done few puzzles at that time but left doing it "
Thats It I tried doing some book but i never studied cordinates so i procrastinated it.
The thing is you just have to look at the board carefully and take chess as a real life war
