Studying typical positions with a coach at least 2500 otb elo would be best option for fast improvement for a player rated above 2000 elo. Also analysing own games with the same coach would be a wise decision. Tough question is how can you find that fair, honest coach who not only use his engines and databases for coaching players, but his own methods of fast improvement. This is so important, because nowadays more an more coaches with a fancy gm title use engines for their ugly training methods. There is nothing so wrong with the engine help if you're alone for improvement. But if you're so serious about improving your play, if you ready to invest some funds and time on it, its vital for finding the right coach.
