You were playing atomic, so this counts as a checkmate. The king is in check, has no squares to move, the queen cannot be taken by anything as its next to a king and the king would be blown up, and the king cannot take the queen since the king would explode: this is a checkmate only in Atomic Chess

It's not a bug, rather real checkmate.
You played the atomic variant, so you need to know it's rules.
'It is illegal to capture a piece that would blow up your king, nor can a king capture any piece as according to atomic rules, the captured piece blows up and is removed from the board.'
