Hostage Chess Stream

I love Lichess. I love playing here. I love solving puzzles. I love interacting at the forums. I love streaming.
I don't always have a very good internet connection. Even when it is good, it is unpredictable.
When the blog post about streaming was published last year, I read it and then started streaming here. It has been a wonderful experience. I haven't had as many viewers as possible but I feel good even if one user asks me to stream or comments on my stream. I have been streaming quite a lot on Lichess using both Twitch and YouTube. Most of my streams have been about me playing some antichess tournament. I have also streamed other things including a bullet tournament where I met GM Jon Ludvig Hammer twice. I also streamed a bit of one of the Lichess Titled Arena which I can't play because I lost my last two games of Asian Zonal 3.2 chess tournament in April 2015 and thus failed to get the CM title.
I have recently discovered a variant of chess that I like very much. It is called hostage chess. There is a website with a free book and playing program for Windows which I will send you the link to if you want me to. At first glance it looks similar to crazyhouse but I think it's quite different and much better. I wanted to play it online but I couldn't find any place where I could play it. I played two games against the computer program but I don't like playing computers. I don't have anyone to play chess with in real life either.
Two days ago, I played hostage chess online against two of my friends from Lichess. Since it isn't possible to play hostage chess on this server and since it wasn't possible to do it even on the study here. All 32 chessmen always play a role in this game and we don’t need any extra chessmen like after some promotions in normal chess. I decided to play that game on the computer program and read the moves sent by my opponents as comments on the Lichess stream and make the moves on the program on my computer so that they could see it and we could continue playing. I also wanted to introduce other Lichess users to hostage chess if they were interested. On the chat we talked about the game and about the variant and one of my opponents said he thought the game would be implemented on Lichess in the future. I am hopeful about that.
Yesterday, I discovered that I was no longer on the Lichess streamers list and then later I saw that I was back on the list and things looked normal again.
Today again I found my name first missing and then added back to the list of streamers and then removed again. It looked like I was being switched on and off and I wasn't given any explanation.
I finally decided to email contact@lichess.org today and I got the answer that I have been streaming non Lichess related stuff while keeping lichess.org on the stream title. Well, I did it only once and that was so that the opponents, both Lichess players, could go to my stream on Lichess and comment their moves on the stream and we could play. I made the moves myself on my computer where I was playing in player vs. player mode. The stream title of that stream was Hostage Chess for lichess.org. I usually have stream titles like Antichess at lichess.org. I have seen other streamers play some of their games outside Lichess while streaming here.
Also, during my other streams while playing on lichess, I do open other windows to check a few things.
I have already received “ok let's try again” message from contact@lichess.org but I am not sure if I really want to try to stream again anymore.

I know I for one and a lot of other players appreciate Finlip's antichess streams, especially of the daily Antichess tournament! Please add him back as a streamer so we can easily know/watch when he is streaming! Seems unfair to me that he was not even given a warning before of these streaming guidelines, which are debatable in and of themselves.

@MagnusXL #2 I've already been added back as you can read in the last paragraph. Maybe my article was too long and boring. I like playing chess better than writing. I was never really removed completely from the streamer list either. I just wanted to share the experience here. Thank you again for appreciating my streams.

Gotta say, I like your streams too, especially when we play each other. Its interesting to find out what really gives you trouble against me. Here is a tip you could probably use however. You can just not stream on Lichess for the non Lichess stuff and instead link them to the stream directly in a pm or something. I don't know anything about streaming so I don't know how it works but I'm sure they are a way to do that. Keep the lichess and non lichess separate

Keep it up finlip, I think you have more fans than you realize.

@Link I just wanted to show the hostage chess stream to people on lichess hoping I could attract some new players to the variant but it got me into trouble. Yes, it's possible to stream without adding lichess.org to the stream title when it won't be listed on lichess. I might have to do that in the next hostage chess stream.
