well yes if u play seriously you will improve and you are improving .
And no there was no change in rating system .

I find players' strenght to be fluctuating, but I haven't noticed inflation, just times when players are stronger and times when they're weaker (sometimes VERY weak, like 2200+ players gifting pieces)... no clue why this happens...

I mean another facet is that I filled up my Blitz top5 with 2500 guys recently.
