Email Notification of Correspondent Moves

Is there an option to receive email notification when it's your move on a correspondent game?

If it isn't, can the developers consider adding the feature?

Thanks!

i third this.......... you should be notified by text, etc. when it's your move. that would be so convenient, and reasonable

I really do 4th this a whole lot.

to the power th. perhaps one could give a hint how to query the site notification from desktop or browser, in a timed loop, locally, if any of the profile properties or state are accessible via some kind of command line. some polling without having to load the browser. kind of heavy just to be aware of correspondance move.

any reason, why this is not implemented. seems natural, even in the name "correspodance", i know, we are using the server...but still.

not the end of the world, though, i am real happy as it is, would just be more productive not to have the chess distraction active all the time...

so i'm in my first correspondence games...... i assumed i'd get something under notifications or something, when it was my move. instead i find i must be looking at the games themselves, where i can see it's my move... darned inconvenient to have to go explicitly look on the correct page to see it's your move, esp. in a correspondence game.................

would be an improvement if notifications, which would be visible on all pages, would indicate something important was up (like it's your move, a thread you've started or posted to has a new reply, etc.)

Over the years I have had numerous timeouts because of lack of notifications. It's frustration, embarrassing and most likely an element of disrespect to the opponent.

I agree to that. I have to Amway check the site to see if my turn is up.

yeah - when people 'timeout' which i guess means they lose cause they don't make their move in their allotted time, that can be taken as disrespectful.... or at best, a pita... who wants to win that way? so far though, it seems ok. i choose a comfortable time period, two days, and i can look at the lichess home page, with all my games, and easily see when it's my move... seems to work great. sure, notifications in the forms of texts would be really nice... but do any sites do that??? i assume not...

the two days is my safety net... i try to move one move a day, for difficult moves, more moves for easier ones...... i don't exactly see why people choose 14 day periods...... i've never done anything approaching that time period...

one thing that would be nice: i can see on the main screen how much time i have to make a move when it's my turn, for each game; i can't see how long my opponents have to move when it's their turn, unless i open up that particular game.
