ELO rating calculation for Rapid

My question is only for Rapid time controls because most of my games are under this time control. It gaves me enough time to think seriously and not consume too much time. I found reference formula here https://metinmediamath.wordpress.com/2013/11/27/how-to-calculate-the-elo-rating-including-example/ , now I just needed to know the value of the constant k used in lichess for Rapid games. I tried to calculate the constant k based on rating changes and I found that k=20. Is this correct?

Ok. I read the 6 pages PDF "The Glicko System" by Dr. Mark E. Glickman and followed through the equations using my TI Nspire CX CAS II calculator.

I wish to know the values chosen by Lichess rating algorithm for c. And how do we know a player's RD? Is there a table that lays out these parameters based on wither it is Rapid, Blitz, Long game, etc?

You see, in order to compute the new rating, we need to know two things:

  1. Rating
  2. Rating Deviation (RD)

The value of c is not that important as it is only used during first few games to set the rating initialization. But would be useful to have and then we can trace our rating calculation from the very beginning. I know, it has to be in the source code, but if somebody can point me out where to look, then it would be head start. Thanks.

did you try googlin lichess rating source code?
RD starts from 250 and the it is adjusted according to formulas in wikipedia page and other re-sources. And it is Glicko-2 so there is small derivate elment as well

Right. But the RD of an opponent is not visible. If Lichess can display the RD, then calculation will be straightforward.

Thanks, I see it now. It's not in the Lichess Android app, though.
