ECo codes and finding my specific games.

Hi.

I know how to see what openings have been most successful/unsuccessful and get the graph showing the percentage of each opening but is there any way i could actually see some of those actual games.

I was wondering if there is a way to see the games of my most reliable, successful opening but i want to look into the middle game of these successes or losses and learn from that.

For example I want to see the middle game of the openings i am losing on. Then i can see the moves that were inaccurate or blundered. I want to see any patterns that may keep getting me.

Some openings have 100 win rate and some i have 100% defeat rate. Obviously there is something to be learned when you are losing 100% of the time to certain openings.

Sorry, this is a bit of a word salad, i hope you understand the question.

Thank you.

I use chessbase if I need ECO codes. Considering I have my openings books as specialty books I don't really need to look up ECO codes anymore.

If you're interested though I am pretty versed in openings overall. So if you would like to know what your opening is I can probably tell you and even get the ECO code for you. Sometimes it's fun. If you feel you want to analyze a game and even have someone look up master games for you, I don't mind doing that either.

If you want to do it yourself.. Here are the sites I would use:

https://database.chessbase.com/ It's the chessbase database. You can use it limited for free.

https://www.365chess.com/ Same thing as chessbase.

http://www.chessgames.com/ This one is basically the same.

There are others, and there maybe better, but these serve my needs. Usually everything I need is inside chessbase. I use it as a premium member because I bought CB14.

I should add.. And I don't know if anyone knows this. lichess's study feature is almost a doppelganger of chessbase software. The only real difference where I see is the database of players and the color scheme. And you "can" actually use it similarly. It's pretty cool.
