I would really love to try playing some correspondence games but I fear that I might get flagged as cheater if the position I'm analyzing matches one of my ongoing correspondence games. It's the only reason I still keep a chess.com account. Does anybody else have the same problem as mine?

The ICCF allows it.
lichess forbids it, but it must be hard to detect for correspondence.

Lichess of course does not allow the use of engine in any kind of game. But in correspondance, i think it is allowed to analyze the position by yourself without engine. Because if you play correspondance here, you may have noticed there is an option that takes you to an analysis board without engine, where you can prepare some lines in the game.

@braunegefahr I know but if you turn on engine in another analysis board (after a blitz game for example), and the opening position matches one of your correspondence games, it could very well trigger their cheat detection system to flag you as cheater.

I was framed as a cheater today and I didn't do anything!

you mean feeding opponents stockfish moves is cheating... its kind of like playing fps games with wall hacks, i don't get it , chess is supposed to be about training getting better for enjoyment of the game not being instantly granted god tier playing ability, why would you even think playing any game with any engine open with the same game your playing is not cheating

I believe @MM1993 is talking about analyzing finished games while having correspondence games going. What if the position, say in an endgame, of the finished game you're analyzing with stockfish, matches the position in one of your ongoing correspondence games? I'm actually curious about that my self.

@Geniree Some people don't even read the original post before reaching for the keyboard.

Ok people let's rewrite it so you can understand better:
Suppose you have 20 correspondence games ongoing; you have played all sorts of openings. You play a live game and after it finishes, you hit the analysis button and you turn on engine. The opening you get matches that of one of your correspondence games (without you ever noticing), will the cheat detection flag you as cheater? If yes, then it could turn into a problem.
