I have recently become more and more of a convert to lichess after years of chess.com. Though chess.com has many great features, I think they have moved more toward pogchamps and titled Tuesdays and less toward product. Lichess excels in analysis, puzzles, ease of getting a game, and, most of all, STUDIES!! I think that once my paid membership at chess.com expires, I'll stick with lichess, chess tempo, and chessgsmes.com. Any other converts out there?

I play on both :) On lichess rapid, blitz and bullet. and on the other one only rapid. I know chess tempo too and also use chessbook.

I played on chess.com for years without any elo gain whatsoever before converting august last year. I've gained +700 elo since then and am expecting much more very soon (if my winrate against 1800+ rated opposition is anything to go by). Coincidence? I think not!

chess.com is a lot of bells and whistles that I have no use for. I think Playchess, which is part of the Chessbase empire, is more useful to the serious player than chess.com, but they don't have correspondence chess. The best correspondence site is chessworld.net.
lichess has a small but very useful set of features, and also a very clean page layout that is a lot better than chess.com.

Chess.com has some pretty nasty tactics to make you pay for premium. I refuse to play there.

I play on lichess because otherwise I won't be able to have a four-digit rating! :)

I was first introduced to chess on chess.com. I explored other chess sites, and now I mainly use lichess for learning (unlimited studies and puzzles!) and I train rapid on chess.com. I also use other sites like Chessbase and Chessgames.com

I'm also a convert. I switched after COVID because I realized chesscom wanted to gamify online chess to the detriment of the sport as a whole. Since then I've discovered that Lichess is a better product anyway.

Puzzles and rapid and blitz are for lichess, classical and puzzle rush is for chess.com. (Classical because you wait less)
