There seems to be some confusion in this thread about Cloud and Fishnet. To make the differences clear:
- Fishnet is our distributed network that performs the computer analysis on games.
- Cloud gets used when you turn on the local analysis, in your browser. The Cloud caches the evaluation of opening positions (and positions of Studies).
Contributing to Fishnet has been linked in this thread, but that doesn't answer #1's question because Fishnet analysis does not expand Cloud.
Contributing to Cloud happens by just analyzing positions in your browser on Lichess. If you analyze to a higher depth than what is already in Cloud, you are contributing. But if you analyze a line/position outside your browser then there is no way to add the evaluations to Cloud.

@ProgramFOX Oh yes, I see now that some of my analysis is in the cloud. Though not all of it, and not even all my analysis of three check openings. Gavity said something similar in another thread. "I analysed [a three check opening position] to a depth of 37," he stated (and it's certainly useful analysis)." But he added: "When I copied this link into another tab it had to reanalyze it instead of going right to depth 37. Can anybody help me." Also, there is some bug where your own study just forgets the depth of the analysis you did after a time, and has to reanalyse every move starting at depth 11. I looked quite silly showing someone my analysis when every move was at depth 11 :) Like the dog had eaten my homework :) I posted a link to that video because it was posted in answer to a thread called "How do you donate CPU time to get analysis in the cloud for lichess?" If that is confusing misinformation, perhaps remove it. It certainly lead me astray.
