ChessUp—A Revolutionary e-Board

Disclaimer: I am merely a customer of this product and am not affiliated with the project in any way.

Around a month ago, I came across an ad on Facebook about a new electronic chess board coming to the market soon. It had very little following at the time, but the thing blew up upon its Kickstarter release. For a $1 holding fee, I was able to pledge for the Super Early Bird deal (cheaper than the current Early Bird special), and because I was so confident that the project would succeed, I didn't waste any time deliberating on what would be my first ever backing on Kickstarter.

I won't be explaining all of the features in this post, but there's no doubt that this is going to revolutionize the e-chess board market, at a lower cost than the current flagship e-boards such as DGT. Not only does the board connect with Lichess API (and potentially chess.com in the future), but there's also game analysis, opening training, puzzles, video lessons, and more included in the accompanying mobile app. Perhaps the most exciting part is that Levon Aronian was announced to be an official collaborator of the product, so you should expect to see quality video content from him. Check it all out for yourself: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bryghtlabs/chessup-level-up-your-chess-game

Note that this is nothing like the Regium scam from a year ago. ChessUp is realistic, genuine, and had tons of effort put into it—as evidence, the creator of the product has been singlehandedly answering the 400+ questions on the Kickstarter page in detail, on top of the hundreds of questions and concerns on the Facebook page (named Bryght Labs). I hope this post reaches out to lots of people and that some of you consider backing the project, which is only available at an early bird pricing on Kickstarter for two more weeks. The more chess players who purchase the product, the better their online playing pool will be.

I was taking a look at the kickstarter site, and it seems that they already have enough money to make it happen.

@KeithDenning as I said, I'm not affiliated with ChessUp, so it's hardly an advertisement. I simply want to spread awareness for this project to the community, partly to increase the quality of their online player pool but also to get more people talking about it and help others take advantage of the early bird special

The fact that this thread is promoting/advertising anything, anything at all, is against Lichess policies, which makes this whole thread a "waste of space."

Please stop. Again, it is against Lichess policies regarding use of the forums. That's to prevent Lichess forums from turning into some kind of chess version of Craigslist. That's not the purpose of these forums.

And it is not an effective ploy to say "Hey, I'm not advertising this product that I'm going to promote! I'm not advertising because I say so!"

It's advertising.

Have you seen the forums lately? My post is of higher quality and is much more readable than most of the garbage on the front page on any given day. If you don't like it, just ignore it instead of getting upset over a helpful PSA and trying to micromanage the website

It's funny that this high-quality Public Service Announcement requests that the public spend money to purchase something.

It almost sounds like... advertising. But that couldn't be, could it?

Go advertise on Chess.com. Nobody wants that garbage here. Advertisement is unbelievably obnoxious, and your claimed lack of official sponsorship doesn’t make it any less obnoxious.
