I guess its just a certain IM working for chess.com who thinks this is the best site. The same guy who still believes Nakamura is the best bullet and blitz player :D.

@Samarta Chess.com has a few features Lichess does not, but we have a lot on this site for it being free. Some of the things chess.com have that keep people there are Puzzle Rush, Bughouse, Arena Kings, and the Computer Chess Championships.

There are certain aspects of Chess.com, of which I am a member of as well under the same username as here, that I like and vice versa with this site. There's no harm in using both and enjoying both in the aspects that the other don't have. Chess.com has a better forum system, Lichess has a very innovative My Studies section. Use both sites, play on both sites and enjoy both for what they have to offer. Thus I would venture that both are equally good...
